Bio:

Dr. Melissa Macasieb is the Acting Director of Data Science at the Office of People Analytics, Department of Human Resources Activity (DHRA), DoD. Previously, she was a Lead Data Scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton and Visiting Assistant Professor in Mathematics at the University of Maryland. She has published three peer-reviewed papers in addition to leading REUs and undergraduate research in geometry. Dr. Macasieb received her B.A. in Mathematics and English Literature from Columbia University and her Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Texas.
