Operations Research Analyst
U.S. Army Talent Management Task Force
LTC Kristin Saling is an operations research analyst and the lead for the Human Capital Analytics program in the Army’s Talent Management Task Force. She applies both computational and strategic analytical techniques to problems involving large data sets as well as providing analytical advice to the team undertaking a massive overhaul of the Army’s manning strategy. In addition to her normal duties, she conducts research in people analytics and advances in human resources management. She has presented at several US and international research conferences and has published her work in academic journals such as Systems Engineering and International Transactions on Operations Research. Previously, she served as the chief of officer strength analysis and forecasting for the Army’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel (G-1).
